Is Team Effort Related to Project Effectiveness?

Investigated whether team effort predicts project effectiveness using survey data and coded audio transcripts at the University of Findlay.

Problem

Research teams lacked empirical evidence on whether subjective measures of effort (engagement, commitment, teamwork) translated into objective project outcomes.

Approach

Cleaned audio-derived metrics, standardized survey data, and built composite indices for Effort and Effectiveness. Applied correlation and regression modeling in Python and SPSS to identify significant predictors.

Outcome

Identified key effort variables that significantly predicted project effectiveness. Produced automated update scripts, visualizations, and a formal data report for institutional use.

Grant Reporting Dashboard — University of Findlay

Built interactive Power BI dashboards to help administrators and grant managers track institutional metrics and funding outcomes in real time.

Problem

Grant managers were spending hours compiling data manually from disparate sources, resulting in reporting delays and inconsistent metrics across departments.

Approach

Consolidated raw datasets, designed a data model connecting grant repositories, enrollment figures, and performance metrics. Built visual dashboards with drill-down capabilities and automated update pipelines.

Outcome

Reduced reporting preparation time significantly. Dashboards are now used in grant proposal submissions and institutional strategy meetings.

The Clefs Music School — Scaling to 300+ Students

Founded and scaled a music education business from zero to 300+ students over four years, using data-driven decisions across curriculum, enrollment, and marketing.

Problem

The local music education market lacked structured, measurable programs. Student retention was low industry-wide due to inconsistent lesson frameworks and poor progress tracking.

Approach

Designed structured curricula with milestone-based assessments. Tracked enrollment analytics and marketing performance monthly. Built scheduling systems and staffed qualified instructors aligned to student demand.

Outcome

Grew to 300+ active students. Achieved strong retention through data-informed curriculum adjustments. Established the school as a leading local music education provider.
